Land Purchased

Bulcote Parish Council have completed the purchase of the paddock below Bulcote Parish Church. The "L" shaped piece of land is bordered to the south by Nottingham Road (A612) and wraps around the church boundary to the north and east. The west boundary is formed by "Ashworths".

The purchase has been made for the benefit of Bulcote Village and to protect the land from any future development that would have an impact on views of the church. There are no plans as yet for the use of the land, but it is hoped that funds can be obtained to create a community space possibly for quiet contemplation and picnics etc. In the first instance it is proposed to mow the area and trim the hedges.
