Bulcote Farm & The Neighbourhood Plan

Many thanks to all those who have taken the time and trouble to return the Neighbourhood Plan Questionnaire and the letters of objection to the Bulcote Farm Development. The response has been very encouraging and greatly appreciated. For anyone who has not returned the questionnaire you still have until the end of the month to respond.

The current funding for the creation of Neighbourhood Plans will shortly end, but the Government have pledged to continue to support this initiative and a new round of funding will commence on or before 1st April 2018. Bulcote Parish Council intend to apply for grant funding to carry the Neighbourhood Plan forward.

Whilst the Neighbourhood Plan will not be in place to prevent current planning applications such as Bulcote Farm and the Burton Joyce Car Sales site; It may help to defend against future planning applications should the current proposals fail. Once we have funding in place the Parish Council will contact all those who have expressed an interest in attending the first working group meeting. It should be stressed however, that the Neighbourhood Plan should be community led and not by the Parish Council alone.
